Amtrak! December 3, 2008

Last weekend, mom and I went to visit one of her friends in New Jersey. We could have gone just about anywhere and I would have been happy because we decided to take the train. And not just any train, we caught the Amtrak. I have a lot of books about trains, as you can imagine, and I can point out the Amtrak trains in every one of them. Mom assumes that I probably just recognize the shape of the word rather than the particular combination of letters, but is nevertheless considering Amtrak to be the first word that I can read.
